My Favorite Sourdough Recipes

I won't pretend that I am an expert at making sourdough but I can direct you to someone who is. I absolutely love this sourdough cook book "Starter Sourdough" by Carroll Pellegrinelli. She helped me really understand how starter works and the multiple ways you can do sourdough and use sourdough discard in recipes. I love making sourdough for my family. To make it last longer I will slice it into individual slices and then freeze them in my freezer. I do this actually with all off the bread that I make. That way if someone wants a piece for breakfast or dinner they can just take out how many pieces they want and the loaf lasts longer. I have a dear friend who mailed me her starter which was so fun and I have loved getting to watch it grow in my kitchen. Sourdough starter is truly a fascinating process!
